Eloise's first trip to Camp Michigania

Eloise really enjoyed her first week at Camp Michigania. Our hot and sunny lazy days included morning yoga, made-to-order omelets, reading about hot vampires, swimming, kayaking, bows and arrows, walking and walking some more, building sand castles, tie dying t-shirts, missing Daddy and Maizie, hot dogs and burgers for lunch at the beach, cookies, watching Hamma play tennis, painting ceramic plates and ornaments, playing with the "Meow Meow" (aka bunny), making new friends, waving at our shadows, and watching the horses. All three of us received awards for the week; Eloise won the "Super Reader Award", Natalie received the "Ceramics is my Cup of Tea Award" and Andrew earned the "Mighty Leaper Award". Plus, Hamma won both the women's singles and mixed doubles tennis titles. We think that there should be an award for long morning walks, bird identification and all day beach lounging...Dr. Dave would certainly win.

Great snaps... My fave is the one where Ellie ran into the lake at north beach. It makes me really wish I was there... Any good Pickus stories this year?

I would love to regale you in Pickus lore but I didn't see anything worthy. Although Ellie did make friends with a couple of the Pickus kids.

We wish you could have been there as well. The lake was like a giant magnet for Eloise. No matter where she was in camp, she seemed to feel its pull. Then once she could see it, she was off to the races.
