The official Daddy Day

Happy Father's Day to Daddy, Grandpa Walker, Poppy and Boppa.
We love you all!

George's first birthday!!!

Our George August turned one on Saturday. Oh how we love him so. He is so smiley, silly, happy and loves playing with blocks, clapping his hands, laughing, climbing, throwing balls, and he loves, loves, loves his big sissy. He is the sunshine in all of our lives.

Thank you Nonna and GW, Uncle Dave and Aunt Molly B coming to Chicago for our little boy's birthday. We celebrated in Oz Park with a picnic in the grass and cupcakes. Watching Georger devour that cupcake in record time with blue frosting dangling from his eyelashes was the highlight of the day. So darling.

One year ago (about...)

Our Hamm Famm at Dave and Molly B's beautiful wedding. But someone is missing...oh, there's Baby Suitcase inside my giant belly. Wowsers. Isn't it strange how a year seems like only yesterday and also ages ago at the same time once you're a parent? And btw, that was a pretty bold dress selection for an enormous 9 month pregnant lady. Geez.

Big girl bike!

It's a big weekend around here thanks to a new bike for our Elle Belle. She even has the Dora bandaided elbow scab to prove it. Pretty sweet.

Eloise Wheelson?

With all the talk of our wedding yesterday, Eloise became very curious about who she would marry one day. "Who will be my husband?" she wondered. But then, with certainty, she told us that her husband would be named John Wheelson. We are documenting it here, folks. How crazy that would be if she really did marry a John Wheelson. Will it be?

Celebrating #7

We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary on Saturday night, one day early, with free babysitters - thanks Hamma and Boppa! The weather was beautiful this entire weekend and we enjoyed picnics, walks, playground time, and taking Hamma and Boppa to the Chicago Botanic Gardens.

As we do every year, we watched our wedding video. This year was special because we watched it with Elle. We feel so thankful for the many blessings that we've been given the last 7 years and we are reminded of how amazing our families are and how special our friendships are. We really miss our friends from home - you know who you are - and we hope you know how much your friendships mean to us. We need a reunion...
