Listening to the blues music at the Lincoln Avenue Street Fair.

Saturday morning dance party
Andrew didn't know that I grabbed the camera for his encore performance. He likes to begin his dance routines with his back to the audience, so it is a great opportunity to turn on the camera without him knowing. Too bad that I didn't get a chance to record more. It really was spectacular.

Saugatuck
We just returned from our annual trip to the cottage in Saugatuck. We spent a wonderful 10 days at the beach with the Hamm Family. Eloise loved playing in the sand and eating shells. She has become so much more active in the last couple of weeks...crawling, pulling up on everything...life with an almost 10 month old is much busier and fun. We look forward to returning to the beach in August.

Happy 5th of July!
We headed up to Damonland for Saturday night and had the best time! Maize especially had the time of her life with her cousin Maddie. The food was delicious, the fires roaring, the fireworks impressive, the river cold, the mosquitos biting, the dogs frolicking, the baby so happy... Thank you for inviting us Reed-O and Molly (and Mr. and Mrs. Damon)!
Happy Birthday America!

Our camera battery was dead on the 4th of July, so we were not able to photograph our patriotic day (with the exception of this photo of Ellie driving the boat). We attended the East Grand Rapids Parade with Ashley, Olivia and Allyson, Mom and Tom, Mom and Dr. Dad, Aunt Sally and Kara, Lucy the dog, Nickie the dog, Sophie the dog, and Maize the dog. After the parade, we spent the afternoon on the boat. Tom grilled his famous 4th of July ribs and we had a wonderful dinner with everyone before watching the fireworks display from the lake. It was a great day! God Bless America!

Maize and the Siren
At 10:00 am on the first Tuesday of every month the city tests the tornado siren. Maize loves to sing along as the siren gets louder and louder.
