My darling daughter said this to me yesterday afternoon. She really did. Being her mommy is simply the best. Thank you God for my sweet smart oh so special Eloise. She and her brother are loved more than anyone's been loved before.

Cold winter weekend

It's cold here in Chicago, but hey, we've got our love to keep us warm. We had a fun weekend that was the perfect combination of busy and totally relaxing and included our favorite pizza, taking Daddy to gymnastics, a birthday party at Pump it Up, white bean chicken chili, the Polar Adventure Days event at Northerly Island...

Told ya

This kid is moving and we had forgotten how crazy this stage is. We can't take our eyes off of him for a second. And what is it about boys? He only goes after things that he shouldn't...lamp cords and outlets, the metal track of our sliding doors, the radiator, and here he is about to eat a poisonous plant.

He also likes to sit and bang on his FAVORITE toy...thank you Aunt Ashley and cousins

Still smiling

George August has not stopped smiling since his first smile at 2 weeks old. Literally. He is such a joy and ray of sunshine in our lives. This was a big weekend for our Georger. His two bottom teeth poked through those adorable gums and he began his army crawl. With a combination of pulling his body and rolling over and over and over he can get to anything he wants to get his chubby little hands on...look out!

Scootering (...and apparently tooting)

I took this video of Eloise scootering toward her very impressed and excited little brother today, mostly because I adored his reaction to her. The tooting proclamation at the end is just a bonus. It's too bad that I turned the camera off right before she said "all of this scootering really makes toots come out". Oh, Eloise.
