Night night big (little) girl

I just did my nightly routine of giving each of our kids one last kiss before I myself crawl into bed. Tonight I was caught off guard when I realized that Eloise's toes are almost reaching the end of her bed. She is getting SO big, SO fast. It's dawned on me that I've been telling her for quite some time to act like a big girl. I'm not going to say that anymore. I want her to stay so sweet and little for as long as she can. I love having a little girl - I know that I'll love having a big girl too - but I am going to hang onto this preciousness for as long as I can. Oh, and I should probably order her a longer bed...

Mustache Valentines

While the other 4 year old girls passed out princess and kitty cat Valentine's earlier this week, here are the Valentine's that Eloise chose to give her classmates.

Nothing says Valentine's Day quite like a eye patch wearing mustached heart. Hope everyone had a loving Valentine's day!

The best concert I've ever been to

More winter!!!

Here at the Hamm house, we are thrilled that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, and there'll be six more weeks of winter. We simply have not had enough sledding, skating, shoveling, snowball throwing and tromping through the streets. I hope for at least a few more exciting mornings of the kids peeking through the blinds in our bedroom to see if snow has fallen over night and the squeals that follow when it has. Those mornings are the best.
