Skiing

We went skiing in Wisconsin with our friends this weekend - it was a beautiful sunny day with lots of fresh snow. It was Eloise's first time on skis this season and George's first time on skis ever. Eloise and Andrew spent most of the day on the green and even blue slopes while George and I skied on the bunny hill. By the afternoon, George could walk up to the magic carpet and ski down using his snowplow all by himself (not bad for 2 and a half years old :)! 

George went on the chair lift a couple times too and skied down with Drew

Crawsty

We had fabulous snow last week. And we had the very best snowman come for a visit. Much like our tree in the fall, cars were stopping to snap photos - he was that special. All of our snow is gone now leaving thick ice and mud behind, but hopefully we get more snow soon and Crawsty the Snowman will be back again someday.

Aunt Veronica got married!

We had the most wonderful weekend in EGR celebrating my best friend and her man. February in Michigan did not disappoint with soft, fluffy snow falling nonstop for three days straight. Everything was kicked off on Friday with a bridesmaid luncheon that my mom and I threw and continued with a delicious rehearsal dinner, drinks with friends, and wedding duties on Saturday followed by the beautiful, fabulous, fun wedding. Veronica was so beautiful and so happy, which makes me smile even thinking about. A really fun wedding for a really fun couple.

I was looking through old photos today and found this video that Andrew recorded and set to music almost 2 years ago...unbelievably. It was Eloise's first ride on her brand new bicycle. We used to take her to the school down the block which had lots of space for riding and scootering (before they turned it into a fancy faux-turf field). How could that have been so long ago?

Spare time

We've been spending every ounce of free time on the weekends ice skating. When we are not at a birthday party (the amount of birthday parties here...I've never seen anything like it), at Sunday school, or whatever else we have going on - we are on the ice. And all four of us are loving it so much.
