Finally

What was once a gas station on our closest corner is now a much talked about Apple store. We spent the last couple of years walking past a vacant fenced lot and getting splashed by cars speeding past the decrepid curb. Apple was rumored to be building on the site, but the land sat empty. Then construction began and the scaffolding and construction overtook our neighborhood, blocking lanes of traffic and closing sidewalks. After dealing with this mess for more than a year, the Apple store made it's long awaited debut this weekend. It is magnificent and was actually worth it. What a beauty and a huge improvement to our fantastic neighborhood.

Hoosier Mama? I am!
We had a fantastic visit to my old stomping grounds. It was a really special experience to bring our children to my favorite university and walk around campus with my family. It rained during our time in Bloomington, but cleared up just after game time. The Hoosiers and Wolverines played an exciting game with back to back touchdowns throughout both halves. In the end the guys in Maize and Blue got the win and we were so happy that we were able to help cheer them on in the sea of red.
