We had the best time in Florida! We stayed at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle in Aventura and would recommend the resort to anyone and everyone. The service was beyond wonderful, the rooms gigantic, the pools beautiful and relaxing, the ocean just a jog away, the restaurants delicious...obviously we were very impressed.
Eloise was a great traveler and seemed very happy in our home away from home. We kept her up later than usual going out to dinner then coming home, changing into our jammies and having picnics on the big bed. In the mornings, she slept in until around 10 am. Ahhhhh.

She loved the sand at the beach and even played quietly at times while we lounged and read. She loved the pool too...which was definitely not as relaxing for us. She would run towards the water in any direction and jump right in. She didn't even mind being dunked. We rented a car and explored the different neighborhoods, eating each night in a different area (South Beach, Aventura, Hollywood, Coral Gables). The plane rides were somewhat painful since she was so restless and busy (but happy at least). Oh well, the trip was well worth the stress of flying with a toddler.

Sounds like you had a super time! I think EIlie is going to be quite skilled athletically. She seems so adventurous, I cant wait to get her out on the slopes a Nubs next year.
