Aunt Veronica got married!

We had the most wonderful weekend in EGR celebrating my best friend and her man. February in Michigan did not disappoint with soft, fluffy snow falling nonstop for three days straight. Everything was kicked off on Friday with a bridesmaid luncheon that my mom and I threw and continued with a delicious rehearsal dinner, drinks with friends, and wedding duties on Saturday followed by the beautiful, fabulous, fun wedding. Veronica was so beautiful and so happy, which makes me smile even thinking about. A really fun wedding for a really fun couple.

I was looking through old photos today and found this video that Andrew recorded and set to music almost 2 years ago...unbelievably. It was Eloise's first ride on her brand new bicycle. We used to take her to the school down the block which had lots of space for riding and scootering (before they turned it into a fancy faux-turf field). How could that have been so long ago?

Spare time

We've been spending every ounce of free time on the weekends ice skating. When we are not at a birthday party (the amount of birthday parties here...I've never seen anything like it), at Sunday school, or whatever else we have going on - we are on the ice. And all four of us are loving it so much.

We went to a wedding

The kids stayed with Hamma and Boppa - and unfortunately George was sick during the weekend and certainly did not spare the large oriental rug in their family room from his projectile vomit.

Tonight while I was getting George ready for bed, he began recounting the entire throwing up scenario and did an unprompted verbatim impersonation of Boppa that may very well be the best Dr. Dave Says ever...

"and then Boppa said "No No No No No...I can't believe it."

Sledding at home

This dad loves the snow and loves having room to play outside. No hills in the yard for sledding? No problem. He's built sledding hills on both the front stairs and the back deck stairs. They're steep, they're fast, and they're fun. He (and I) have even sled at night long after the kids are in bed.
